After first appearing in print 21 years ago, Francesca Simon has revealed she will bring the series to a close this summer.
According to The Bookseller (20.2.15 edition), Horrid Henry's Cannibal Curse will be the last title in the series. It will be illustrated by Tony Ross and comprise four stories. Orion Children's Books will support the release of the book with a year-long programme of activiites on www.horridhenry.co.uk, a series of brand partnerships and appearances at literary festivals.
The author said she was "sad" to leave Henry behind, but added that it was the right time to say goodbye.
Francesca Simon is currently working on The Monstrous Child, the third book in the series and has plenty of ideas to work on too.
