Whether you sit down with a cup of coffee this weekend or save it for the half-term break, the latest edition of Books for Keeps is now available to read. Matt Goodfellow talks about his journey from teacher to award-winning author, and Charlotte Hacking responds to the latest report on the state of Reading for Pleasure (referenced above). Plus there’s the usual selection of expert reviews to help you stock your bookshelves.
Books for Keeps is a free digital magazine about children’s books designed to help teachers and librarians keep abreast of new titles and issues relating to the children’s book world. The magazine is published every two months.
BfK reviews over 1000 children’s books every year, covering picture books, fiction, poetry and non-fiction. Reviews are organised by age range and cover books for pre-schoolers right through to 14+. Every review also carries a star rating to help make book selection easier when time and budgets are tight.
