Meet the New Children’s Laureate

Patrice Lawrence, one of the UK’s most respected voices in children’s literature, has been appointed the 14th Waterstones Children’s Laureate, taking over from Frank Cottrell-Boyce. Each Laureate brings their own passion and creativity to the prestigious role, setting out the focus for their two-year tenure. Lawrence will use her Laureateship to champion the power of shared stories to bring people together and help build more inclusive communities.
